BMI View: Chinese copper ore imports will remain strong in the coming months as domestic ore grades fall and rising prices support local refined copper production. Despite demand from the infrastructure sector falling short from 2018 onwards, rapidly growing spending on power transmission line construction in China will prevent any decline or sharp slowdown in copper demand and imports over the coming years.
