The 4th edition of MOTA programme will focus on the current industry changes and areas of development from both a government and mining company perspective, with the aim of building shared value across the extractive supply chain so the African mining sector can realise its full potential even in the current uncertain economic climate.
Event Location: The superior Intercontinental Frankfurt Hotel, Frankfurt
The mining sector in Chad remains largely undeveloped although preliminary studies conducted by the United Nations Development Program and the Chad Direction de Recherches Géologiques et Minières (DRGM) suggest that there is much potential. Highly prospective areas for gold, bauxite, uranium, silver and alluvial diamonds have been identified.
The mineral industry is poised to become a significant segment of Chad's economy. Its mineral resources include uranium, natron, kaolin, gold, limestone, soda ash, stone, sand, gravel and salt.
Event Place: Palais du 15 Janvier, N’Djamena, Chad
